Integrative Therapy
Who is Integrative Therapy for?
Integrative Therapy can help people with a number of emotional and psychological problems including, Addiction, Anxiety, Depression, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Self-Harm and Stress.
How Integrative Therapy Works?
Integrative Therapy describes an approach to therapy that combines different therapeutic techniques to create an individualised treatment programme. Instead of using an off-the-shelf protocol, integrative therapists use the principles of a variety of different therapies to tailor an approach that is specific to an individual patient’s needs.

What the Research into Integrative Therapy Says
Research into the use of Integrative Therapy, including CBT, has found a significant reduction in symptoms of anxiety and depression in some populations. A recent study testing the combination of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with strategies addressing interpersonal issues and emotional avoidance found that an integrative approach significantly reduced symptoms of Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) in participants. In addition, research has found some support for psychotherapy that integrates other effective therapies as well as behavioural patterns related to promoting good psychological health in combating symptoms of depression. Further empirical research is needed to fully establish the utility of an integrative approach to therapy.
