Works With Ages 18 and over

When you are struggling with your mental health it can feel overwhelming, isolating and hopeless. During my years of working as a clinical psychologist I have helped countless people to start to understand why they feel the way that they do, to identify the things that unintentionally maintain this experience and ultimately to find skills and strategies that can help them to start to live more in line with the person they want to be.

It can be hard to open up to someone and to verbalise things that you may have never said out loud before. I have experience of making therapy feel like a safe space, of building good therapeutic relationships and also of meeting clients where they are at – going at the speed they would like to go and working on the things that feel most important to them.

I am skilled in several different models and techniques, specialising in CBT with a particular interest in third wave approaches such as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and compassion focussed therapy (CFT). I attend regular training and keep up to date with new developments in the field in order to ensure that I have a wealth of knowledge to apply to those I work with. I have worked with a range of presenting problems including but not limited to anxiety, depression, adjustment, panic attacks, insomnia, low self-esteem, stress and obsessive thoughts.
As well as the above, in my NHS roles I have specialist experience of working with chronic pain, long term health conditions and long-covid.

I feel very grateful and privileged to be able to do the work that I do and to be able to support people through the difficulties they face. It is an incredibly rewarding experience to walk alongside clients on their journey to living more in line with their values.

About me

I love exploring, seeing new places, having new experiences and escaping into a good book, film or podcast. I am constantly listening to music and love nothing more than finding a new song or artist.

Recent Testimonials

“Therapy has improved my life in a big way. It has enabled me to think and act positively, and cope with every day stress and anxiety. As a direct result of the tools I have gained, I am a much happier person. I cannot recommend Dr Gray highly enough, and would encourage anyone who is struggling to give therapy a go”.
