Psychological difficulties, whether they be poor sleep, worry, low mood, stress, grief, addiction, consequences of trauma, personality issues or psychosis, can overwhelm us. It is my view that no matter the nature of the struggle, a life without the burden of suffering can be reached. I believe the process of therapy is an invaluable tool for allowing an individual to access their inner potential for healing, acceptance and change.
I have over eleven years’ experience in expert psychological care. My background in assessing, formulating and treating the full spectrum of psychological difficulties is extensive, from mild issues to complex, long-standing disorders. I work in an integrative way, adapting to the specific needs of each client, but practice Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (CBT) most often. Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness and Schema Therapy are other specialist areas.
Every piece of work brings a unique learning opportunity. It’s a privilege to grow as a clinician and person through delivering therapy. Being alongside someone as they realise new self-awareness, overcome obstructive patterns, and bring synthesis to previously fractured parts of themselves is endlessly rewarding.
I am interested in human biology and brain sciences so read a lot in these areas. Scientific knowledge reaching all people regardless of background and access to academia is a core value of mine. I, therefore, offer scientific consultation to creative industries, including film and TV projects. Outside of work I enjoy learning about writing fiction.
