I’m Jen and I’m looking forward to meeting you. I’m a warm and empathic psychologist, providing a space where you will be heard and supported. I’ve experienced my own times of emotional distress, so I understand it takes courage to reach out for help. I will see your potential and hold this vision for you throughout our therapeutic journey together.
I’m highly qualified, with a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and an honours degree in Psychology. I’m Chartered with the British Psychological Society and a registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). I’m therefore trained to deliver a range of evidence-based therapies and will offer you the therapeutic approach that best suits your needs and goals. I have particular expertise in cognitive behavioural therapy, schema therapy, mindfulness, compassionate and acceptance and commitment therapies.
I have over 10 years experience supporting clients in private practice. Alongside this I’ve worked with clients with a range of psychological difficulties in numerous NHS services across London, including Central & North West London NHS Trust and South West London & St George’s NHS Trust.
I believe that life is short and we all deserve to live our fullest possible lives. Understanding ourselves better through therapy can really help us live on purpose; so I feel very privileged to do the work I do.
As well as supporting clients, I’m the author of two 5* Amazon rated books and have been extensively published in peer-reviewed journals. I was very honoured to be named an ‘Outstanding Educator’ Finalist in the Quality in Care Awards and a ‘World Diabetes Day Hero’ by the International Diabetes Federation.
I’m a passionate educator and have been an invited speaker to audiences ranging from four to four hundred throughout the US, Canada, the United Arab Emirates and Europe.
I love spending time by the sea, walking in nature and escaping into a good book or movie. I’ve run a half-marathon and a triathlon but have now hung up my running shoes and prefer the gentler movement of yoga…although I’m not very graceful (yet!).
