Therapy, as well as life, is for me a journey of self discovery and self improvement. I greatly value the opportunity to be a companion and a support on your journey.
Together we will identify where we want to go in life and what we want to achieve with therapy; we will discuss what has got in your way up to now or is still affecting you in living the life you want to live. We will head together in the right direction, learning to overcome any problem or obstacle, any fear, any painful or self defeating thought and feeling or any memory that come to the surface on the way.
I’ll be on your side as a support and as a mirror to help you understand the unique message each pain brings and to help you in developing behaviours that value the pain, whilst still moving forward in your chosen direction.
Your emotional and psychological needs are the most important element of therapy and we will work together to identify them, to meet them inside and outside of the therapeutic room and to develop your ability to continue the process on your own.
We will use a combination of CBT, Mindfulness and ACT to identify your values and the life you want to live, creating a Mindful awareness and a different relation with your thought and feeling, while changing unhelpful behaviours into value driven effective action that will help you achieve your goals in life. We will address any issue in an open and supportive way.

I am a HCPC (Health and Care Profession Council) registered and a BPS (British Psychological Society) chartered Psychologist a BABCP registered CBT therapist an ACBS registered ACT therapist and a Mindfulness practitioner.
I work with adults and young people, mothers and babies, older adults, people with long term conditions, people who want to change career and life; both individually and in groups.
My experience includes working for the NHS and privately; in charities and in schools (primary and secondary) and youth centres.
My expertise include working with DEPRESSION, LOW SELF ESTEEM, IDENTITY ISSUES, RELATION DIFFICULTIES, LIFE CRISIS AND TRANSITIONS, ASSERTIVENESS; anxiety disorders such as: STRESS, WORRY, GENERAL ANXIETY, OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), PTSD (Trauma), PANIC, PHOBIA, SOCIAL ANXIETY, HEALTH ANXIETY, PERFORMANCE ANXIETY, SLEEP ISSUES; ANGER MANAGEMENT, CAREER COACHING; and CHILDHOOD ISSUES (abuse, neglect, bullying, abandonment).
In my therapy I integrate the proven effectiveness of CBT with the benefits of the moment by moment awareness of MINDFULNESS and the values oriented work of ACT.
The aim is to move forward in life by identifying unhelpful behavioural and cognitive patterns and changing what is stopping you from living a full and meaningful life. My background in humanistic and psychodynamic therapies allows me to work competently with developmental issues to understand the development of difficulties that present a problem in the here and now.
You can expect a therapy that is both practical and reflective, delivered with empathy, collaboration and compassion in a non judgmental, safe space that you can own. I firmly believe in the power of a good therapeutic relationship to maximise the benefits of specific psychological techniques.
We all feel lost sometimes; we all want to change or to better ourselves but we might not know where to start; we all have fears and anxieties, experience loss, challenges and problems in life; we may feel alone and misunderstood or have lost our direction or purpose in life. I firmly believe that any obstacle on the road is an opportunity to grow by learning how to overcome it. This is why I am here to help you find strength in your pain, to find your direction and to take the next step on your path.
I can provide therapy in English and Italian.
I actively campaign to raise mental health awareness and to support mental health research. I am a supporter of a few charities and I dedicate my free time to creative writing, Mindfulness, Meditation, Yoga, family, friends, my two cats and gardening.
