Philosophy

I believe all human beings deserve the very best out of life, whatever this means for them, and I am proactive in providing emotional and cognitive support for those that need it the most.  In a world of constant change, socio economic worries, personal struggles and seeming chaos it can be challenging to know where to gain support or how to move forward.  Everyone should have the chance of making their own Journey a fulfilling one and I consider it an honour to be a small part of that journey with you.

I chose to be a Psychologist because it reminds me every day that we are all human beings with commonalities, sometimes wounded, struggling to heal due to complex, rocky or difficult pasts, present and futures.  We are on an individual journey trying to navigate our way to particular destinations and we all sometimes need someone to support, encourage, listen, show compassion to and understand us.

I’m a Doctor of Psychology that wants to meet you wherever you are within your life’s journey.  Collaboratively we can build a therapeutic relationship and work on exploring those underlying issues affecting you to help empower you to make positive changes in your life.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Person Centred, Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Solution Focused, Gestalt, Mindfulness & Integrative.

I’m an integrative therapist who incorporates the afore mentioned techniques into my treatment to ensure you receive an up to date evidenced based solution.  I am always mindful to tailor my approach to the individual’s needs as I know a one size fits all approach will never work.  I believe that the therapeutic space is an opportunity for you to make sense and meaning of your thoughts, feelings and behaviours and how your desired goals can be achieved through a willingness for positive change.

Motivation

I’m often humbled by the human-to-human connection and witnessed change that therapy can provide, I’m grateful for the opportunity to support an individual on their unique journey.

About Me

I’m non-judgemental, compassionate, open and honest.  I like reading and listening to inspirational self-help authors, philosophers and motivational speakers.  I enjoy exploring new cultures and countries through travel and practice meditation such as Kundalini Yoga.
